Putting up the tree

Loving Dad for putting up the tree

The Powell girls and Chaz

Annabelle was really into putting on the ornaments this year.  Most of the them are all the the bottom right side of the tree!

Claire attempted putting the ornaments on the tree, but she rather play with the hat or take the ornaments in and out of the bin.

Annabelle already festive for the holidays!

Odds and Ends

Being the second child, Claire gets into all sorts of trouble when my back is turned.

Sometimes Annabelle wants to be the baby instead of Claire

They love to pretend to sleep

Jumping in the leaves

Annabelle loved jumping and throwing the leaves

Claire liked to watch.  This is our new house color if you haven't seen in yet.  We got new siding due to hail damage in July 2012.

Claire really hated the leaves

Claire the zebra.  Claire loved the suckers.  She also loved trick or treating.  She just wanted to do whatever Annabelle was doing even in the rain

Annabelle and Daddy leaving to go trick or treat to a few more houses.  Moments later, Claire pointed and wanted to go again.  Both girls loved it

A few days later and Annabelle still loves to carry her bucket around.

updates on Claire

Claire is now walking and almost running.  She just started riding forwards on her riding toys.  She likes to draw lines with chalk.  She has a hard time keeping markers and crayons on paper or on the easel.  She loves bath time and brushing her teeth.  She favorite show is "Yo Gabba"  Her favorite words are Mommy, Chaz, turtle, and Bear.  She answers a lot of questions with "ya" or shakes her head no.  She has about 20 other words.  She is starting to say "Daddy" more especially when she sees a red truck.  She loves to pretend to go to sleep.  She likes to put her teddy bear or baby doll in the toy crib as well as walking them in the toy stroller.  She has to sleep with one of her many teddy bears and blanket.  In the morning, she likes to throw them on the floor and then cry out "mommy" When I come in she points to the floor and says "bear."  She also likes to play ring around the rosie and row your boat.  At her 18 month check-up she jumped percentiles for her weight (now in the 40%).  She is still in the 20% for height.  We switched her to allegra for her allergies.  The doctor says her tonsils look large.  We have a follow up with the ENT near Thanksgiving to get his opinion.

updates on Annabelle

Annabelle is now in preschool and has Greta for her teacher as well as lots of other teachers too!  She is adjusting great and loves all her new friends!  On her first day, she did cry at song time (last 10 minutes of the day) but I think it was a mixture of being tired and wanting to go back to her house instead of the sitters.   Now when she sees someone else cry at preschool her comment is, "I already cried at preschool!"  Annabelle sentences are getting longer such as "No that big boy not say hi to me."  She mostly uses I instead of me now.  She loves hugging and taking care of Claire.  When Claire cries, Annabelle will go over to her and pat her and say, "It's okay sissy, don't cry"  Sometimes it is hard for Annabelle to share with Claire, but even with protest, she ends up sharing a minute later.  She is potty trained through the night!  She likes to use the terms, "5 more minutes" to extend play throughout the day.  She likes to watch Chugginton, Doc McStuffins, Daniel Tiger, and UmiZoomi.  Her favorite is Little Mermaid.  Mommy can almost get her hair into 2 full pigtails!

Annabelle's first day of preschool

Annabelle goes to Family Child Learning Center (where her Mommy works) for preschool.  She loves all her new friends.  She cried at the end of her preschool day ( I think she was just tired) but really happy to go to school each day!

Claire likes to walk around with her sister's bookbag too!
