Annabelle July update

Annabelle is 29 pounds and 2 oz.  She is 3 feet tall!  She talks unstop at home.  One of her most common phrases is "No don't want sissy to get my toy."  This phrase can also apply to lots of people too.  For example, we were walking into Walmart and a few teenage boys were several feet in front of us and Annabelle was very worried that they might go buy the Yo Gabba DVD that we were going to buy and started yelling at them, "Boys, don't get my Yo Gabba."  She is starting to use me and you more often in her sentences.  She was very proud of herself the other day when she painted her toenails with a blue magic marker when Mom and Dad were busy.  She loves to pretend to play doctor and put her little people, animals, and Yo Gabba friends into buses, houses, or line them in a varied of different ways to pretend play.  She loves jello and tacos right now.  She is still very shy, but on her terms, she can easily say, "hi" to everybody who walks past her at the store.  However, if they initiate hi to her, she will stare at them and say nothing at all.  She is becoming a little Mommy with Claire and loves to tell her, "No Claire!" if she is doing something wrong or approaching her things.

Claire's Surgery

C
Claire's driving the car to the surgery room.  She had her adenoids removed & tubes put in.  An hour after surgery.  It took her 26 hours to want to play.  Her throat is still sore a few days later, but she is doing great!  Some of her side effects from surgery was her nose bleed right after and fussy and tired.  She also got a sore on her lip.

Pool time in Myrtle Beach

Annabelle drawing of the ocean or the "big water"

Claire loved the pool by the second day.  She especially loved the railings on the pool.  She liked sitting on the edge of the pool and lean forward to "jump" into the water.  Annabelle loved jumping into the water from the steps and also jumping on the steps.

Myrtle beach

Annabelle loved her pool toys especially her duck and her elephant.  It does look better on Daddy!

Playing on the beach with Daddy!
It took Annabelle 3-4 days to warm up to explore the ocean, or what she calls the "Big water!"  It helped when there was a small tide pool on the beach that she splashed around in.  She liked throwing shells into the ocean, sitting down to bury her legs and then having the water rinse it away, running away from the waves, jumping over the waves/water, burying her feet standing up and saying, "Where's my feet?"  She loved the big water by the end of the vacation and was running along side it at full speed and laughing!

Claire 15 months

Claire is getting her adenoids removed and her tubes put in on July 5th!  Hopefully this will help her breathe a lot better and snore less. She is at the 25% for height and weight.  She is 30 inches and weighs 20 pounds 11 ozs.  Claire wants to walk with someone holding her hands all the time.  She likes for them to even walk her up the stairs.  She is crawling all the way up the stairs too!  Claire likes to press the buttons on anything including the DVD.  Claire is doing the "more" sign better.  She has the words of Dad, Done, Chaz, ball, and balloon approximation and butterfly approximation.  She loves popsicles and will say, "pop!" or scream with joy when she hears that word. She loves to pretend to talk in the phone by putting it up to hear and babble a sound or two.  She also puts other objects to her ear and tries to talk.  She likes to imitate the "la la la" of the elmo pop up toy.
